A high school business mentorship program facilitated by Unama’ki College at Cape Breton University.

“I want to be more in control of my Aboriginal roots… Once I get my education done, I’ll be able to make my own business with the entrepreneurial skills that I have achieved.”

– Charles Jesso, Former In.Business Student

The Program

In.Business teams Indigenous high school students in grades 10, 11, and 12 with Indigenous business mentors, who are educated, working professionals with a background in business. During the course of the school year, In.Business students work on bi-weekly business challenges facilitated by their mentors using smartphone technology (either a smartphone or tablet, provided to them by CBU).

Do you already have an interest in business? That’s a good thing, but it’s not mandatory. What you do need is an open mind, a commitment to participating and a desire to explore your potential.

CBU has partnered with Grenfell to deliver the In.Business program at the campus in Corner Brook, Memorial University, making it more accessible for Indigenous students in Newfoundland and Labrador. Apply to be a student or mentor in the Grenfell program.
